George & Emily Rice EMMY LU'S ANTIQUES Aisle 5-6 Endcap East
Crafts
George retired from Procter & Gamble
as a sales manager after 38 years of employment and Emily retired from the Katy Independent School District after 30
years. The couple met at Texas Tech University after George returned from the Navy to work on a graduate degree.
George and Emily fell in love with English
antiques as a young couple and bought a few pieces for our home when the budget permitted. As time passed, George found he
loved the restoration process of bringing new life to almost lost causes and Emily found she loved decorating and arranging.
Opening their first small shop allowed
both to exercise their passions. Over time they have expanded and now offer a wide selection of beautiful and functional furniture.
Emmy Lu’s Antiques
includes:
- Specialists
in antique furniture from England
- A
great array of lovely and unusual decorative items, mostly from England

With a family The Furniture Connoisseur has a new home! Third-generation
cabinetmaker and furniture restorer Robin Richardson has located his fascinating array of top-of-the-line furniture care products
at the middle of Antique Center’s west (back) wall.
As the name denotes, Robin offers internationally
known restoration polishes and waxes, as well as the best possible selection of the suede rags and dusting cloths for the
care of fine furniture in any collection. He is the only dealer in this part of the nation who sells many of the products
you will find in his booth.
Robin offers renowned brands such as Harrell’s,
a British maker whose cleaners are used in Buckingham Palace and throughout the world, and Pate Dugay, the French manufacturer
of fine quality furniture paste wax.
Robin not only can furnish connoisseurs with the
supplies they need, he plans to keep regular booth hours to explain in detail the correct use and application of every product.
He also devotes time to “live chat” at his website www.thefurnitureconnoisseur.com .
Robin’s passion is not limited to providing
supplies; as a furniture maker, Richardson has reproduced pieces from the famous Bill Blass collection. Blass and Richardson
were friends and fellow furniture connoisseurs for more than two decades.
